Pedal Putnam

Pedal Putnam is a chip-timed cycling event that offers three routes of different lengths, designed for families and cyclists of all abilities to enjoy Putnam County’s covered bridges, waterfalls, public art, and stunning countryside. Roads will be marked noting every turn, fully stocked SAG stops await riders on each route, and all participants will receive a custom softstyle event t-shirt*. Stick around after the ride for music, food and drink, vendors, local shopping, and an awards presentation to the top three finishers in each age group.

A portion of funds raised from Pedal Putnam will go toward supporting Putnam Parks & Pathways and its 18-mile trail network.

62 Mile Route (Metric Century)

A Metric Century like no other! This route will take you to Heritage Lake and into Bainbridge with a sag stop at Bainbridge Elementary School.  Head further north into northwestern Putnam County with roads that are full of great little surprises like Clinton Falls, Edna Collins Bridge and Beech Grove Methodist Church.

40 Mile Route

For those not quite ready to tackle 62 miles, you can still enjoy many of the same great sights. This route follows the Metric Century riders all the way to Heritage Lake, but cuts it short before heading up to Bainbridge and cutting back to make your way back to downtown.

12 Mile Route

Whether you’re a seasoned cyclists or just looking to experience your first ride, this scenic option is a great fit for you. Follow all the riders out to the Big Walnut Sports Park before turning back to downtown on the People Pathways, Greencastle’s recreational trail.

$50 through August 31st
$60 September 1st – September 29th

40 miles:
$50 through August 31st
$60 September 1st – September 29th

12 miles:
$25 through August 31st
$35 September 1st – September 29th
